Sterling Silver Kōwhaiwhai pattern.
The Kōwhaiwhai is a Fern pattern.Used in the Maori meeting house it also is a symbol of the family tree, with each larger frond giving shelter to the smaller one beneath. You can see it on the Ponga fern.
This is our first design released in the winter of 1995. Originally all individually hand cut and finished. Now cast in sterling silver, these earrings remain a favourite and still show the handcraft in the finishing.
