The flowering Harakeke flax bushes outside my workshop window inspired some of my early flower forms. When the Harakake flowers the Tui's visit regularly to plunge their beaks into the flower and drink the nectar. This leaves the Tui with a dusting of bright yellow pollen on their beaks.
